 औद्योगिक क्षेत्र व्यवस्थापन लिमिटेडका लागि लोक सेवा आयोगको लिखित परीक्षा सम्पन्न

नेपालको प्रतिष्ठित सरकारी संस्था लोक सेवा आयोग ले औद्योगिक क्षेत्र व्यवस्थापन लिमिटेड का प्राविधिक, सिभिल, पाँचौँ तह (सब–इन्जिनियर/अ.स.) पदका लागि खुला प्रतिस्पर्धात्मक लिखित परीक्षा सम्पन्न गरेको छ। “सेवा सम्बन्धी” विषय समेटिएको यो प्रश्नपत्रले उम्मेदवारहरूको प्राविधिक ज्ञान, व्यवहारिक क्षमता तथा सेवा–सम्बन्धी अवधारणामा पकड परीक्षण गर्ने उद्देश्य राखेको देखिन्छ।

परीक्षा दुई घण्टा ३० मिनेट समयावधिको रहेको थियो भने कुल १०० पूर्णाङ्क निर्धारण गरिएको थियो। प्रश्नपत्रलाई Section “A” (४५ अंक) र Section “B” (५५ अंक) गरी दुई भागमा विभाजन गरिएको थियो। पहिलो खण्डमा भवन निर्माण, सामग्री इन्जिनियरिङ, संरचनात्मक आधारभूत अवधारणा र रेट एनालाइसिस जस्ता विषयहरू समेटिएका थिए। एकतले भवनको वर्किङ ड्रइङमा प्रयोग हुने डाइमेन्सन लाइन, Rapid Hardening Portland Cement, ultimate strength र factor of safety, short column र long column बीचको भिन्नता, तथा फाउन्डेसनका कार्यहरूजस्ता प्रश्नहरू समावेश थिए।

त्यस्तै दोस्रो खण्डमा सर्वेक्षण, सडक निर्माण, पानी आपूर्ति तथा सरसफाइ जस्ता व्यावहारिक क्षेत्रसँग सम्बन्धित प्रश्नहरू सोधिएका थिए। लेभलिङको सिद्धान्त, रोड सबग्रेडको भूमिका, पानीको मागलाई प्रभाव पार्ने तत्वहरू, self-cleaning velocity, contour को प्रयोग, सडक मर्मतका प्रकार र सेप्टिक ट्याङ्कको डिजाइन मापदण्डजस्ता विषयहरू समेटिएको प्रश्नपत्रले सब–इन्जिनियर पदका लागि आवश्यक बहुआयामिक ज्ञानको मूल्याङ्कन गरेको देखिन्छ।

समग्रमा हेर्दा, परीक्षा प्राविधिक रूपमा सन्तुलित र व्यावहारिक ज्ञानमा आधारित रहेको छ। यसले सरकारी प्राविधिक सेवामा दक्ष, जिम्मेवार र व्यवहारिक ज्ञान भएका जनशक्ति छनोट गर्ने लक्ष्यलाई स्पष्ट रूपमा प्रतिबिम्बित गर्दछ। आगामी चरणको अन्तर्वार्ताका लागि सफल उम्मेदवारहरूलाई शुभकामना।

Section : “A” — 45 Marks

  1. What kinds of dimension lines are used during preparation of working drawing of a one storey building? Explain with sketch. (5)
  2. Explain Rapid Hardening Portland Cement. (5)
  3. What is ultimate strength and working stress of materials? Why is the factor of safety important for designing a structure? Describe. (2+3=5)
  4. Differentiate between short column and long column. (5)
  5. What are the components comprised in a rate analysis? Give an example of cement plaster (1:4) work. (5)
  6. What are major functions of foundation? Differentiate between shallow foundation and deep foundation. (4+6=10)
  7. What is the shear force and bending moment in a beam? Write a relationship between shear force and bending moment. How are the shear force and bending moment controlled in a reinforced beam? Explain. (3+2+5=10)

Section : “B” — 55 Marks

  1. Define performance bond. Why is it useful in contract management? Present. (2+3=5)
  2. Explain the principles of levelling and the methods of levelling used in surveying. (3+2=5)
  3. In the context of road construction, introduce sub-grade with its function. (2+3=5)
  4. Discuss the factors affecting the water demand. (5)
  5. What is self cleaning velocity and non scouring velocity? Write. (2.5+2.5=5)
  6. Define contour with its characteristics. Discuss the role of contouring in urban planning and land development projects. (5+5=10)
  7. List and describe various types of road maintenance works. (10)
  8. What are the types of pit latrine? Mention the design criteria of a septic tank. (4+6=10)
